Ad of the Day: Adidas unites Manchester legends for New Order-inspired designs
Range has been influenced by graphic designer Peter Saville’s color code for the band, which appears on four of the album sleeves he designed.
Following the success of last year’s Pulsebeat of Manchester collection, Adidas has once again connected two Mancunian icons for season two of Manchester United x Peter Saville.
To launch the range, an ad depicts players wearing the clothes in a stylized vinyl factory.
To coincide with the spot, there will also be a Sound of Manchester album, with side one featuring the sound of an Old Trafford crowd from the 1993 game that ended in manager Sir Alex Ferguson’s first-ever league title, while side two has John Cooper-Clarke talking about football, culture and music.
